I’m an artist, not a dtooraecr but here’s my 2 cents. When I first saw the rug I thought it wasn’t a fit in the room but then you talked about painting the walls. I’m not a fan of white walls when there are so many amazing colors out there but I’d work around the rug. When you folded the quilt and the small pattern was left-it works really well with the rug- on a design level. Pleasing to my eye anyway. I buy rugs because I love them. I find really nice ones at craft fairs. Pricey sometimes but they are pieces of art. I move them from room to room til they have a home. I always notice rugs. I think you found a gift. Can’t wait to see what evolves.
