I love that rug and quilt together {great find on the rug, BTW}. Since you are uancrtein about how the rug fits in the room, I have to ask the same question someone else did … is the style of the rug the look you are after in the room? If it isn’t, I don’t think any amount of clever design is going to make you happy with it in the end. I know from experience that sheer will cannot trump the wrong rug 😉 So if it isn’t the right rug, is there another rug in the house you could swap it with … 2 redo’s for the whopping price of $4.xx!If you want to continue working with the rug, is it large enough to turn it so the length of the rug is under the bed rather than the width … and move the rug under the bed enough so there’s some rug and some installed carpet at the bottom of the bed. That would create some balance and breathing space. Add paint and accents = cozy americana space.Eager to see what you do!
I’ve been absent for a while, but now I remember why I used to love this blog. Thank you, I will try and check back more frequently. How frequently you update your web site?
